Furniture bathroom design and cheap
Remember to treat the wood against moisture!
Karen explains how she created her bathroom furniture making huge savings.
"We redid our bathroom, and in this context we wanted a bowl on a table in dark wood. The Indoor waterfalls solutions on the market amounted to around 500 euros. So I decided to make my own furniture.
I bought the IKEA kitchen serving Bekväm to 39.95 euros. Before assembly, I cut the hole on the top tray with a jigsaw according to the instructions for installing the sink.
I decided not to put the wheels. So I cut the legs without wheels so they have the same length as the others. I tinted all parts dark walnut.
When everything was dry, I assembled the middle of the table, without the intermediate plate. I put three coats of satin clear because there is high humidity in the bathroom. We must not forget that this solid birch IKEA furniture was originally intended for the kitchen.
I then installed the washbasin on top of the sink, and makes a seal at its base. There were only conventional plumbing connections to make. Prefer a stainless steel exhaust side over design.
